Walton Rawls is the author of several celebrated books on American popular culture, including Abbeville’s Great Civil War Heroes and Their Battles and Wake Up, America!: World War I and the American Poster. Trained at Harvard in American history and literature, Rawls was a contributor to the Oxford Companion to American Military History.
