The Great LIFE Photographers by The Editors Of Life

This is a volume of living history – the history of our times, as seen by the photographers who captured it. It is the most comprehensive anthology of LIFE photography ever assembled, and illustrates the strengths that made many of these individuals famous – and LIFE great. This book, an enormous international success in hardback, is now available in a new, compact, paperback edition.
'I cannot recommend the LIFE collection highly enough … It intrigues and stimulates more than the sea of data that sweeps through our lives each day' - Guardian
'It’s hard to think of anyone who wouldn’t love to receive this book' - Independent
'Wonderful … the bargain price alone should be worth taking a punt, but the production quality is also excellent… Compact yet dramatic … Put this on your coffee table and it will be a conversation piece forever' - Amateur Photographer
'A volume of living history ... impressive' - Independent on Sunday
'A spellbinding history of the latter half of the 20th century ... a stunning book' - Daily Express
Time owner Henry Luce bought LIFE magazine in 1936, solely so that he could acquire the rights to its name, and launched a major weekly news magazine with a strong emphasis on photojournalism. Life was published weekly until 1972, as an intermittent special edition until 1978, and as a monthly edition from 1978 to 2000.
