His final chapters present a solution, showing that disciplines such as deep ecology and ecofeminism are creating a worldview in which the mind of humanity and the health of the Earth are harmoniously intertwined.Ralph Metzner (1936-2019) was a Ph.D. recipient. He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Harvard University, where he worked on psychedelic research alongside Timothy Leary and Richard Alpert. He was a psychotherapist in private practice and a professor emeritus at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. He was also the President and co-founder of the Green Earth Foundation. Dr. Metzner is the author of several publications, including Sacred Mushroom of Visions and Looking for the Philosophers' Stone.
