These houses, energy-efficient, very well insulated, and virtually airtight, represent the future as our society moves towards carbon neutrality and trading lighter on the Earth. Projects featured in the book are located primarily in the United States, with houses in France, Japan, Canada, Belgium and Switzerland also represented. Each case study includes plans, photographs and a detailed project description. An appendix lists useful technical information.
Julie Torres Moskovitz is the principle of the New York architecture firm Fabrica 718. She teaches graduate design studio at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. Prior to forming Fabrica 718 she worked for Gluckman Mayner Architects, Lyn Rice Architects and MADE. Torres Moskovitz completed Passive House Training and is LEED certified.
