Grimm's Last Fairytale by Haydn Middleton
In this historical fiction, grounded in truth, the author re-creates the life-story of the fairytale-writing Grimm brothers. In September 1863, Jacob Grimm travels through rustic western Germany with his niece, Auguste, and manservant, Kummel, as flashbacks reveal his heartbreaks and trauma.
Haydn Middleton was born in Reading and studied History at Oxford, where he now lives. He has worked in advertising and publishing, lectured in British myth and legend, and written a dozen works of fiction and non-fiction.
