Linda Kana Burch is a retired college English professor who has degrees from The University of Texas at Austin and the University of Houston - Clear Lake. She lives in Houston, Texas, with her husband, Bill, and is the mother of two children, one with borderline personality disorder. She and her husband are trained instructors of the Family Connections course that was created by the National Education Alliance for Borderline Personality Disorder, and they facilitate a support group for family members of borderlines. She is also the author of Living Borderline, the sequel to Growing up Borderline, which will be published in 2014.
