Geoffrey Budworth has been tying knots for almost 50 years. Throughout the 1960's he served afloat on the tidal River Thames in London's river police putting his knotting to vital daily use. In 1982 he co-founded the International Guild of Knot Tyers and is a past president of the Guild, as well as a regular contributor to its quarterly magazine Knotting Matters. He also acts as a knotting consultant to the British and the National Maritime Museums and occasionally broadcasts on TV and radio.
