Summary
The feel-good place to buy books

Harlequin Years, The:Music in Paris 1917-1929 by Roger Nichols
Paris during the Twenties was a cheap place for travellers, so everybody went there. It was, as Stravinsky said, the hub of the musical world. As a result, few decades in the life of any European city have been as rich in musical personalities and achievements.
Roger Nichols is a regular broadcaster on Radio 3 on 19th- and 20th-century music and musicians. His series of twelve programmes broadcast on Radio 3, also entitled The Harlequin Years, laid the groundwork for this book.
