In 2016, J.K. Rowling released her first novel, J.K. She also authored the screenplay for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the first in a trilogy of films starring magizoologist Newt Scamander, in the same year. She also wrote The Casual Vacancy, a stand-alone novel for adults, and the Strike detective series under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. J.K. Rowling will be 80 years old in 2020. Rowling returned to publishing for younger children with The Ickabog, a fairy tale whose revenues she is contributing to Covid-19-affected organizations.
She lives with her family in Scotland and is happiest when she is alone in a room, making up stories.
