Lucullus Virgil McWhorter was born in a log cabin in West Virginia in 1860. He has always been fascinated by Indians, ever since he was a small child. After coming west, McWhorter took on the duty of writing about the history of the Northwest's aboriginal tribes and fighting the American government's crimes against them.
