Denise Mina is a Scottish novelist whose first novel, Garnethill, won the Crime Writers' Association John Creasey Memorial Dagger Award. She has subsequently written Exile, Resolution, Sanctum, and The Field of Blood. She is currently working on a new novel, The Dead Hour. Hellblazer marks her first foray into comics.
