Die Autorin: Susanne Pfleger studierte Kunstgeschichte, Romanistik und Musikwissenschaft an den Universitaten Heidelberg und Reims. 1984 Magister Artium, 1990 Promotion an der Universitat Heidelberg. Von 1991 bis 1993 Mitarbeit am Forschungsprojekt -Die Kirchen von Siena- des Kunsthistorischen Instituts in Florenz im Rahmen eines Graduierten-Stipendiums. Seit 1993 ist sie Kustodin an der Stadtischen Galerie Wolfsburg. Ihre Veroffentlichungen beschaftigen sich mit Fragen zur italienischen Kunst des Mittelalters und der Renaissance sowie mit Themen der Gegenwartskunst.
