Henry's Home Alone by Brenda Dzierlinga

Henry wakes up in his new home, excited to play with the kids and go on new adventures with them. He soon realizes he was left home alone. Confused and scared, Henry is determined to find them and make sure he's not alone again. Join Henry on his adventure as he searches for his family so he isn't home alone.

The Oh Henry series is based on real-life events. In this adventure, we learn about separation anxiety that an adopted animal may experience, and how to make them feel secure and loved. Older dogs may have come from situations out of their control, or they have been moved around a lot. They probably don't understand what happened and why they were taken away. Separation anxiety in animals is common, but it's how we deal with it and help them overcome it that makes the difference. Brenda Dzierlinga realized Henry was special, and he could teach others through all of his adventures. This book emphasizes empathy and understanding, and how to interact through kindness.

In memory of Henry, partial proceeds from the Oh Henry series will be donated to various humane societies and rescues to help sponsor adoptions of older animals. Other merchandise is available on www.OhHenryBooks.com to help support adoptions as well.

Dzierlinga, Brenda: - About 12 years ago, Brenda and her daughter, Natalie, started a surprising journey together when they met Jerry and his sons, Zack and Gavin. Together, they blended into the perfect family, but yet it seemed something was missing. They adopted a dog to make their family complete. Little did they know how special this dog, Henry, would become to them, and others who enjoyed hearing his stories. Brenda and her family live in a small town just outside of Madison, the capital of Wisconsin. She currently works in accounting, but her creative nature is an everyday hobby. Brenda enjoys wine tasting, flea markets, crafting, boating, camping and spending time with her family. Every month she gives herself a challenge of kindness and pays it forward. Giving back is truly special to Brenda, because after receiving her second chance at love, kindness, and family, she wants others to know that just the small things can make a difference. Brenda's focus on this series is on second chances. They gave their dog Henry a second chance at nine years of age, and Brenda continues to adopt older animals. So many aging animals are overlooked for adoption most times, which is why Brenda will donate a percentage of book sales back to various humane societies to support the reduction of adoption fees for older animals.
