Andy Stanton loved books from an early age. Later he progressed to stories with no pictures but he always retained a huge affection for children's books and would read them on trains and buses long before it was fashionable to do so. A string of part-time jobs seemed to be leading nowhere until one Christmas he sat down and wrote a story to entertain his young cousins. That story turned out to be You're A Bad Man, Mr Gum! and it became the first book in the best-selling and rather bizarre 'Mr Gum' series, which has won numerous awards and been translated into over twenty languages. Andy lives in North London. Here Comes the Poo Bus! is his first picture book.
