Here Lies Arthur by Philip Reeve

The highly acclaimed novel from the unparalleled Philip Reeve-now in paperback. Gwyna is just a small girl, a mouse, when she is bound in service to Myrddin the bard-a traveller and spinner of tales. But Myrddin transforms her-into a goddess, a boy warrior, and a spy. Without Gwyna, Myrddin will not be able to work the most glorious transformation of all-and turn the leader of a raggle-taggle war-band into King Arthur, the greatest hero of all time. An ancient story and a brilliant allegory of our own times.
Reeve, Philip: - Philip Reeve wrote his first story when he was just five years old, about a spaceman named Spike and his dog, Spook. Philip has continued writing and dreaming up adventures and is now the acclaimed author of the Mortal Engines series, the Fever Crumb series, Here Lies Author (2008 Carnegie Medal Winner), and many other exciting tales. Born and raised in Brighton, England, Philip first worked as a cartoonist and illustrator before pursuing a career as an author. He lives in Dartmoor with his wife, Sarah, and their son, Sam.
