In 2007, he released his first original novel trilogy, the YA sci-fi/espionage Alex Unlimited. He debuted two new books in 2016, the superhero noir Gray Widow Trilogy and the Middle Grade urban fantasy trilogy Five Elements, in 2016. His most recent novel, the southern-fried Stephen King novel The Storm, was published in December of 2018. It was his first-ever mystery/thriller. DC Comics' Firestorm, Eisner Award-nominated JSA: The Unholy Three, and TokyoPop's The Lost Warrior, an expansion of Erin Hunter's Warriors novel series; Transformers: Battle For Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron, Dying Light, and Chronos are among his video game credits. Dan and his wife Tracy live in the foothills of northwest Georgia.
