Heroes, Hairbands and Hissy Fits Chappers modern history of foot by Mark Chapman
Alice bands, orange bladed boots and socks worn over the knee. Mansions in Cheshire, WAGs and written-off Ferraris. Referees with headsets, fourth officials, and an incomprehensible amount of stoppage time. There is only so much a true football fan can take. This title presents a love song to the beautiful game.
Mark Chapman (aka Chappers) is a sports broadcaster and journalist. He is now presenting several weekly shows, Late Kick Off on BBC1, his own new Monday evening show, the Monday Night Club, on BBC Radio 5 Live and programmes on ESPN. Chappers is one of the lead sports presenters on the BBC, for whom he regularly hosts Match of the Day Live and Final Score and ESPN, including its Premier League coverage. He has also anchored Five's European and Italian football coverage and the chart-topping Chappers' Premier League Podcast. Mark lives in London and supports his hometown club, Manchester United.
