PAMELA HIGDON is a freelance author and editor who specializes in birds and maintains a holistic veterinarian practice in Colorado. Higdon worked as an elementary school teacher in Saudi Arabia, where she created and managed a hands-on science room as well as an outdoor wildlife refuge. Her main goal was to teach young people and their families about animal care. Higdon enjoys watching birds and caring for her own.
