Hiaasen Omnibus by Carl Hiaasen

THE CARL HIAASEN OMNIBUS More than just an awesomely good crime writer, Carl Hiaasen is a comic genius. From his brilliantly black-humoured debut with Tourist Season to the scalpel-sharp satire of Skin Tight, Carl Hiaasen's first three Florida-based thrillers created a whole new category of crime fiction. Collected here for the first time, they represent a white-knuckle ride through parts of the American Nightmare that other writers have never even dreamed of. Or as America's leading satirist P. J. O'Rourke puts it: 'Reading Carl Hiaasen will do more to damage the Florida tourist trade than anything except a visit to Florida.' SKIN TIGHT 'Hiaasen brings classic farce to the modern thriller' Evening Standard DOUBLE WHAMMY 'An outrageously entertaining high-protein experience' Observer TOURIST SEASON 'The funniest writer working in America today' Independent 'Beefier than a barrel-load of Bookers' Time Out 'Better than literature' P. J. O'Rourke
Carl Hiaasen was born and raised in Florida, where he started writing after being given a typewriter at the age of six. He writes a column for the Miami Herald and is the author of many bestselling novels, including Razor Girl and Bad Monkey. His books for younger readers include the Newbery Honor winner Hoot, as well as Flush, Scat, Chomp, and Skink – No Surrender.
