Joan Gannij began her career as a writer/photographer in America, before moving to Amsterdam to focus on her writing. She has written a number of travel guides and poetry collections. Elusive Moose (9781905236749) was her first project for Barefoot Books. Clare Beaton was born in southeast England and spent her childhood in London. She graduated from Hornsey College of Art with first class honors and then spent eight years working at the BBC Television Centre illustrating for various children’s programs. She now works as a freelance illustrator and writer of children’s activity and craft books. Clare lives in London with her partner and three children, Jack, Kate and Tom.
