The Hippie Handbook by Chelsea Cain
If the Worst-Case turned on and tuned in, you'd have this far-out, funny, and surprisingly useful guide to the timeless hippie skills and activities that make the world a better place, one macrame belt at a time.
Chelsea Cain is the author of Dharma Girl (Seal Press, 1996), a memoir about her early childhood on a hippie commune in lowa, and editor of Wild Child (Seal Press, 2000), a collection of essays written by other children of the counterculture. She's a humour columnist for The Oregonian and the Portland Mercury, and has written for a wide variety of publications. She recently quit her job to open a video store. She lives in Portland, Oregon.
