This is the first history of Clapham to draw on archaeology and original documents.
Until his retirement Michael Green was Inspector of Ancient Monuments and Buildings for English Heritage. He is a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London.He lives in Northside Clapham Common.
