Holiness and the Feminine Spirit by Susan Perry
This work explores how holiness can empower women and how empowered women work to bring about the reign of God. The paintings of Janet McKenzie and the accompanying reflections follow the life of Jesus through the women who gave him birth and carried his message to the world.
Susan Perry grew up in the small town of Thomaston, Alabama which she says was an adventure in itself. Later, she moved to Historic Franklin, Tennessee where she met her husband Reggie. They still call Franklin home. Susan is the mother of four, grandmother of five, and longtime Sunday School teacher. Children have always been a big part of her life. This journey God has taken me on has made me more aware than ever of the importance of teaching our children, at an early age, to know God's truth. My failures, my achievements and everything in between are reflected, just a little, in each of my stories. I hope that my love of Christ is what is reflected most.
