Dr. Patricia Allison lives in Goodyear, Arizona, with her husband, Larry, and serves as a professor for Grand Canyon University instructing students who are earning Doctoral degrees in Organizational Leadership. As a university instructor, Dr. Allison specializes in teaching the concepts of servant leadership as modeled by Jesus Christ. Her belief in serving others as Christ served His followers has provided Dr. Allison with a personal drive to emulate the same leadership principles as off ered by Christ. Dr. Allison has extensive experience and education in the area of public and private education within urban and inner city environments. Her career has introduced her to many hurting families who struggle daily with poverty, violence, and loss of hope. As a child of divorced parents, Dr. Allison experienced times of personal childhood trauma, giving her an understanding and desire to reach out to others struggling with personal loss and sadness. Her extensive experiences have blessed her with a heart for children living in single parent homes, some of which have been abusive. Additionally, due to these same experiences she has developed a passion for helping women fi nd God's voice in their own lives. Struggling as a teenager to develop a personal relationship with Christ has infl uenced her decision to dedicate most of her adult life to helping others fi nd God's purpose in their own lives. Dr. Allison has worked with women in a variety of situations, including residential programs, small group settings, and individual mentoring, to help each woman fi nd their path to God's love. Dr. Allison has been blessed to have worked closely with women who have and are experiencing drug addiction, alcoholism, sexual abuse, depression, eating disorders, violence, and many other life altering experiences. She has created a curriculum to be used as a Bible study for women who are searching for inner peace through learning how God can become the light in a world of darkness through His undying love and forgiveness.
