Laura Morrigan owes her vivid imagination and appreciation of all things wild to her early years spent on a Costa Rican coffee farm. Afterwards, she volunteered at a Florida zoo, where she assisted with everything from waste control to teaching an elephant to paint. Laura devised the Call of the Wilde Mysteries, which include Take the Monkey and Run, Woof at the Door, A Tiger's Story, and Horse of a Different Murder, based on her years of experience with both wild and domestic animals and her love of detective fiction. She loves the Blue Angels, flip flops in November, and thunderstorms and lives in Florida with too many pets.
