How Come? by Kathy Wollard
This is the best of the How Come? trilogy, featuring answers to more than 200 irresistible questions about the world around us and beyond. Based on Kathy Wollard's popular syndicated Newsday column, these are the questions that frequently stump kids and their parents: Why is space black? What makes hail? Why do heavy Brazil nuts always end up on the top in a can of mixed nuts? And much more. Wollard's clear, accessible, engaging prose is enlivened by witty illustrations -now in color- from Debra Solomon. Comprised mostly of the best entries -now revised and updated- from the three previous editions, the book will also include twenty completely new questions and answers.
