How to Create a Vegan World by Tobias Leenaert

In this thought-provoking book, Tobias Leenaert leaves well-trodden animal advocacy paths and takes a fresh look at the strategies, objectives, and communication of the vegan and animal rights movement. He argues that, given our present situation, with entire societies dependent on using animals, we need a very pragmatic approach. How to Create a Vegan World contains many valuable ideas and insights for both budding advocates for animals and seasoned activists, organizational leaders, and even entrepreneurs.

Tobias Leenaert has been a speaker, trainer, and strategist for many years. He is also a co-founder of EVA (Ethical Vegetarian Alternative), a Belgian group that was the first vegetarian/vegan organization to get institutional funding from a national government. EVA initiated a successful campaign under Tobias' leadership, resulting in Ghent becoming the first city in the world to formally promote a weekly vegetarian day. For the Center of Effective Vegan Advocacy (CEVA), Tobias and Melanie Joy provide animal advocacy trainings all over the world. He is also a co-founder of ProVeg, an worldwide pro-vegan organization whose goal is to reduce global animal consumption by half by 2040. Tobias, his partner, two dogs, and six cats live in Ghent, Belgium.
