How to Look at Stained Glass by Jane Brocket

The magical qualities of stained glass have an enduring appeal, but church windows tend to be ignored as a form of creative and artistic expression.
Jane Brocket has an MA in Victorian Art and Literature from Royal Holloway, University of London. In 2005 she created her successful and popular yarnstorm blog to write about domesticity, textiles, design, art and literature. This led to her first book, the best-selling The Gentle Art of Domesticity (2007). Since then she has written a further seventeen books on a variety of creative and cultural themes. How to Look at Stained Glass is the culmination of years of visiting churches and marvelling at the quality and variety of English stained glass (more can be found on her glazed expressions blog). Jane lives in Berkshire.
