He runs his own garden design and contracting company from Northern Ireland. He is the presenter of BBC-TV's The Greenmount Garden (with a second series recently commissioned) and writes for the Daily Telegraph, Ireland's Homes, Interior and Living and Gardeners' World. His previous books are Ground Cover, How to Garden, Trees for the Garden and Shrubs for the Garden; they have been translated into six languages. He is also co-author of GQT Plant Chooser and GQT Techniques and Tips for Gardeners.
