HOW TO TAKE GREAT HOLIDAY PHOTOS by Hedgecoe John
There cannot be anybody these days who does not take a camera on holiday to record, what is often, a once in a lifetime experience. And yet, holiday photography, with its enormous variety of subject matter, from simple portraits of new friends to a stunning mountain panorama, must offer more challenges to the non-professional than any other field of popular photography. Drawing on his immense wealth of experience, John Hedgecoe diligently shows how to prepare for all these eventualities and explains what is the minimum of equipment needed to confront these challenges without being laden with cumbersome and weighty kit. From a sunny beach to a steamy jungle trek, a day in the country to a bracing mountain resort, this book tells how to capture those images that will make opening the holiday album a delight for years to come.
John Hedgecoe is the world's best-selling author of practical photography books. His titles have been published in thirty-five languages and have influenced and been adopted as teaching aids by photographic schools throughout the world. Examples of his work are in numerous international public collections including the Museum of Modern Art, New York, and London's Tate Gallery. He established the School of Photography at the Royal College of Art, London, in 1965, becoming Professor of Photography in 1975, a post he held until 1994 when he was elected Emeritus Professor.
