The last decade of old Septimus Howard's life sees many upheavals. He joined Sun Microsystems in 1990 and now works for Oracle's Solaris Availability Engineering division as a software developer. Many Sun BluePrints and white papers have been published and coauthored by him, including Building Enterprise Solutions with Sun Cluster 3.0. He graduated from the University of Birmingham with a combined honours degree in physics and astrophysics. He enjoys running, tandem riding, and touring the Outer Hebrides islands in northwest Scotland when he is not working.
