Human Needs and Cosmic Answers by Adam Bittleston
Concerned with the many problems of human destiny, including the choice of occupation, marriage and the significance of prayer and meditation, this book puts the events of personal life into the context of both the New Testament and the stars. Drawing on 40 years of experience as a priest, teacher and counsellor, the author shows how the insights gained from the study of the stars can be put into practice in everyday life.
Adam Bittleston was born in 1911 at Ockley, Surrey. He studied philosophy, politics and economics and Oxford and was ordained priest of the Christian Community in 1935. He worked in Leeds, London and Edinburgh. From 1970 he taught at the training centre of The Christian Community, and at Emerson College at Forest Row, Sussex. He died in 1989. His other books include The Spirit of the Circling Stars; Our Spiritual Companions; and Loneliness.
