Hunting with Ferrets by David Bezzant

This practical and informative book cover all aspects of ferreting and the techniques that are used. The author explains why people use ferrets to hunt rabbits and, in order to help the ferreter understand his quarry, he also discusses rabbit behaviour. In addition, he considers how to get started in the sport and provides advice on the choice and acquisition of a working ferret and the selection of the most useful pieces of equipment.
David Bezzant has hunted rabbits with ferrets, purse nets and terriers for the past twenty years. He now lives on a croft in northeast Scotland where he continues to work his ferrets. He started to write about ferrets in the 1990s and his articles on the subject have appeared in The Countryman's Weekly. David has two other books published by Crowood: Ferreting - A Traditional Country Pursuit [1998] and Rabbiting Terriers - Their Work and Training [2006].
