Dietlof Reiche is a German novelist who has won awards for his work, including the German Juvenile Literary Prize and the Oldenburg Children's Book Prize. The Golden Hamster Saga, published by Scholastic Press in the United States, has been translated into thirteen languages. Reiche and his wife live in Hamburg, Germany.
