I Love Cardmaking by Amy Gooda

If you've ever thought you could do better than the overpriced, mass-produced cards in the shops, then this is the book for you. Making cards is fun and easy: you don't need any special skills and you already have most of the materials you need at home. Amy Gooda has created 25 cards featuring a range of styles from retro stripes to glamorous gold shimmer to vintage fabric. If you're feeling a bit ambitious, why not try one of the interactive cards that incorporate a badge, fridge magnet or cupcake recipe? Each project is fully illustrated with step-by-step photographs and instructions and includes ways to customise them; for example Amy shows you how to adapt a festive card to suit a different occasion. She also guides you through a variety of card-making methods including stamping, embossing and beading and explains all the essential materials and techniques. A handmade card means a million times more than a shop-bought one and never fails to delight, so why not get cutting, folding and pasting.
Amy Gooda is a young creative who has always made cards in her spare time, selling them at craft fairs and to friends and family. After gaining her degree in Textile Design from Grays School of Art in Aberdeen she went on to work with a local company, designing and making wedding cards and other greetings stationery. She now plans to set up her own small business.
