I Want a Cat! by Tony Ross
Jessy feels like she is the only girl in the whole world without a pet, and Jessy badly wants a cat. Her parents can't stand cats. But Jessy is determined to have one, so she makes herself a fluffy white cat suit and refuses to take it off until her parents buy her a real cat!
"A simple story effectively illustrated, capturing all the contrariness of small children whose most passionate desires are often thwarted by adults" * Sunday Times *
"Great stuff this, with much fun to be shared equally between children and parents." * Junior Bookshelf *
"Ideal for three to seven-year-olds." * Parents *
"This 1989 book's reissue is worth mentioning. The text and illustrations are in a coloured pencil style that matched the irrepressible character of Jessy." * Nursery World *
