Ice Cream by Liz Franklin

An ice cream can capture summer in a cone or add something special to a hot winter pudding. A sorbet or slush can solve the problem of something light and luscious to end a substantial meal. Simple or sophisticated, ices make a tempting treat for all ages and here Liz Franklin shares her favourite easy recipes for ice creams, yoghurt ices, sorbets and slushes, plus iced lollies on sticks and lots of sauces. Recipes include Rich Vanilla or Mascarpone Ice Cream, Yoghurt and Blueberry Streusel, Mojito Slush, Cranberry and Orange Iced Lollies and sauces such as Caramel; Chocolate; Orange and Grand Marnier; and Fresh Berry Sauce (with your choice of berries).
Liz Franklin was a finalist in the 1996 BBC TV Masterchef competition and went on to make a series of cooking programs for BBC Radio. She was food editor for Good Health magazine and is now a freelance cook, food writer and stylist and runs cooking classes, including one for children. This is her first book for Ryland Peters & Small.
