Eric Gansworth is a professor of English at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, and the Lowery Writer-in-Residence. He was born and raised on the Tuscarora Reservation in Niagara County, New York, as an enrolled member of the Onondaga Nation. His short stories, poetry, and nonfiction have published in numerous literary periodicals and anthologies, and his theatrical work has been performed at New York City's Public Theater.
