Catherine Stier is the author of various children's books, including the award-winning If I Were President and the A Dog's Day chapter book series, which received a Kirkus star review. The IRA Los Angeles' 100 Best Books and the Bank Street College of Education's Best Children's Books are among Stier's other accolades. She has a master's degree in reading and literacy and has worked as a magazine writer, newspaper columnist, writing instructor, and research assistant for children's books. Stier was born in Michigan and currently lives in Texas.
