If You Lived at the Time of the American Revolution by Kay Moore

If you lived at the time of the American Revolution
--What started the American Revolution?
--Did everyone take sides?
--Would you have seen a battle?

Before 1775, thirteen colonies in America belonged to England. This book tells about the fight to be free and independent.
Moore, Kay: - Kay Moore was born and raised in Maryland where she was surrounded by sites of importance from many historical events. Exploring these turned her into an incorrigible history buff at an early age with a special interest in the lives of women and children. Moving to California to become an elementary school teacher and later university educator, she lived for many years in Placerville (originally called Hangtown, but the name was changed to reflect less violent placer mining). Upon retirement from California State University, Sacramento, Kay moved to Las Vegas where she and her grandchildren have started exploring the historical sites of Nevada. She is the author of several nonfiction juvenile books including the award-winning The Great Bicycle Experiment: The Armys Historic Black Bicycle Corps, 189697.
