Immaculate by Oliver Lansley
A laugh-out-loud comic variation on the virgin birth in which a young woman finds her life spiralling into confusion when she wakes up one morning, unaccountably pregnant. You're young, free and single and haven't had sex for the last eleven and a half months, then one morning you wake up pregnant and to make matters worse the Angel Gabriel is on your doorstep claiming parentage... Oliver Lansley's play Immaculate was first performed by Les Enfants Terribles Theatre Company as part of the 2005 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
"'Genuinely a laugh a minute, with some real strokes of comic genius' Metro 'In a Fringe which is filled with comedies, this has to be one of the funniest' British Theatre Guide"
Oliver Lansley writes for theatre, film and television. His plays have been seen at the Pleasance, Gilded Balloon and Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh, and at the Lyric Hammersmith and Charing Cross Theatre, amongst others.
