Immune by Richard Phillips

Anyone who dares challenge the Rho Project is being systematically picked off. At the top of the hit man's death list: NSA fixer Jack Gregory, and the three teenagers who first exposed the Rho Project's dark agenda to the world.

On the run for their lives, Heather, Mark, and Jennifer know that the Rho Project's alien nano-technology has been released into the world, disguised as a miracle cure. But what they don't yet know is that the serum has taken on a life of its own, modifying human DNA in a way that even its engineers cannot control--one that will alter the very fabric of humanity.

Richard Phillips was born in the town of Roswell in the state of New Mexico. He earned a bachelor's degree in engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He spent nearly a decade in the US Army, where he worked on initiatives such as military simulation software development. He graduated from the Naval Postgraduate School with a master's degree in physics and finished his thesis at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He then worked as a research officer at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory before returning to the army to complete his service.

His military and technological backgrounds inspired him to write dramatic science fiction stories with a futuristic twist. He now lives in Phoenix with his wife.
