IMPACT OF THE CIVIL WAR by John Morrill

After forty years of teaching British, Irish, and European history at Cambridge, John Morrill resigned in 2013. The long historical relationship between England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales, situated in a European comparative framework, has piqued my curiosity. He is a member of the British Academy and an Honorary Member of both the Royal Irish Academy and the Academy of Finland. He has written and edited more than twenty books and published more than 100 essays and articles.
