He has worked as a performance-enhancement consultant and mental skills coach for a number of professional teams and major organizations, as well as a consultant for a number of professional teams and corporations. Orlick is the former president of the International Association for Mental Training and Excellence and the author of more than 20 best-selling books. Cooperative Games and Sports (2006, Human Kinetics) and Feeling Great: Training Children to Succeed at Life (2004, Creative Bound) are two of his unique programs and publications for children and youth to develop humanistic attitudes and good mental skills for living.
Orlick is a professor in the School of Human Kinetics at the Université of Ottawa, Canada, and the founder of the groundbreaking Journal of Excellence. He is a graduate of Syracuse University, the College of William & Mary, and the University of Alberta. He has received excellent service honors from a number of Olympic and educational organizations, as well as certificates of recognition for distinguished community service from governments, colleges, athletic organizations, and schools. He's given talks on the pursuit of greatness in almost every country on the planet. Orlick resides in Meech Lake, Quebec, with his family.
