Nathalie Handal is a poet, playwright, and writer. She is the author of two previous poetry collections: The NeverField and The Lives of Rain. She is the editor of The Poetry of Arab Women: A Contemporary Anthology, winner of the PEN Oakland/Josephine Miles Award, and coeditor of Language for a New Century: Contemporary Poetry from the Middle East, Asia & Beyond.
