
JONATHAN JOHNSON and his wife live without electricity in a remote log cabin the two built on his family's ranch in northern Idaho. He also spends part of each year in the Lake Superior coastal town of Marquette in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Johnson's poems have appeared in Alaska Quarterly Review, Indiana Review, Prairie Schooner and other magazines and have been anthologized in The Best American Poetry 1996 and American Poetry: The Next Generation. He has worked as a rock climbing instructor, backpacking guide, and carpenter and now teaches in the MFA in creative writing program at Eastern Washington University.
