In the Palm of God's Hand by Wendy Bray
Aimed at those who know somebody with a terminal illness or who have one themselves, this book provides a day-by-day account of coming to terms with a diagnosis of advanced cancer and the trauma of treatment. It is written by someone who is taking each step of the way in prayer and reflection on the Bible and Christian literature. Wendy records the highs and lows (including the devastation of realising after weeks of painful treatment that her illness is not in remission), at times praising God and at other times crying out in despair.
