India with Passion by Manju Malhi
Manju specialises in simple home cooking, and so all of her recipes are authentic and yet easy to prepare. She travelled widely in India to research the latest home cooking, gleaning ideas from takeaway food stalls as well as the kitchens of cooks, friends and family. The book contains fabulous location photography by award-winning Jason Lowe as well as studio shots of Manju's recipes.
Manju Malhi's first book, Brit Spice, was a critical and commercial success and established her reputation for making complex Indian dishes easy to cook in a western kitchen. It won the Gourmand award for Best Cookbook Tied to a TV Series. She has made regular prime time TV appearances on shows including Saturday Kitchen and BBC Good Food and has presented her own series, Simply Indian, on Carlton Food Network. Manju has written for The Guardian and The Daily Mail and for numerous magazines, including Cosmopolitan.
