When Beatrice Gardiner whispers, ‘the ring’, with a collapsing exit breath, her daughter Fabienne, takes the simple band and finds an inscription with two dates, three months apart. Fiona Ballard grew up in Hampshire, Dorset and Malaya. Family travels exposed her to a plethora of cultural experiences giving her life changing skills and independence. Her writing experience began with a gift to enter a writing competition after her retirement from the NHS. She lives in Hampshire and Inscription is her second novel.
