Intelligent Human Centered Computing by Siddhartha Bhattacharyya

This book features high-quality research papers presented at the First Doctoral Symposium on Human Centered Computing (HUMAN 2023), jointly organized by Computer Society of India, Kolkata Chapter and Techno India University, West Bengal, on February 25, 2023. This book discusses the topics of modern human centered computing and its applications. The book showcases the fusion of human sciences (social and cognitive) with computer science (human–computer interaction, signal processing, machine learning, and ubiquitous computing).

Prof. Debashis De graduated with a M.Tech from the University of Calcutta in 2002 and a Ph.D. in Engineering from Jadavpur University in 2005. He is a Professor and Director at the West Bengal University of Technology's Department of Computer Science and Engineering in India, as well as an Adjunct Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia in Australia. He is an IEEE senior member, a CSI life member, and a member of the International Union of Radio Science. He worked at Telektronics as a R&D engineer and Cognizant Technology Solutions as a programmer. The Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, gave him the coveted Boyscast Fellowship to work at Herriot-Watt University in Scotland, UK.

During the 2008-2009 academic year, he was awarded an Endeavour Fellowship by DEST Australia to work at the University of Western Australia. The International Union of Radio Science, Head Quarter, Belgium, honored him with the Young Scientist award in 2005 in New Delhi and in 2011 in Istanbul, Turkey. Mobile cloud computing and green mobile networks are two of his research interests. He has published over 250 peer-reviewed international journals in IEEE, IET, Elsevier, Springer, World Scientific, Wiley, IETE, Taylor Francis, and ASP, as well as 100 international conference papers, six research monographs in Springer, CRC, and NOVA, and ten text books published by Person education. He is Associate Editor of IEEE ACCESS, Editor Hybrid computational intelligence, Journal Array, and E-Journal Array.
